How to store cold-pressed oil

Cold-pressed oil is a fresh product. It isn't deodorised or treated with preservatives, so a little care goes a long way.
Keep the bottle tightly closed, away from direct sunlight and heat — a dark cupboard beats a shelf above the stove.
Pour directly or use a clean, dry spoon. Water is oil's enemy in storage.
Cold-pressed oils generally have a shorter shelf life than refined oils — refining is partly done to extend it. Check the best-before date on your bottle, and once opened, use within a few months for the freshest flavour.
If the oil smells noticeably off or bitter, it's time for a fresh bottle.
