What is wooden ghani (kachi ghani) oil?

A ghani is a traditional oil press — a wooden mortar and pestle that turns slowly, crushing seeds without generating heat. 'Kachi ghani' simply means the oil came out raw and cold.

Because the wooden press turns slowly, friction heat stays low. At PhudG we keep extraction below 45°C, which is why the oil keeps the seed's natural aroma and flavour.

Wooden ghani pressing yields less oil per kilo of seed than industrial methods. That's the honest trade-off: less oil, but an oil that is exactly what the seed gave us.

After pressing, the oil settles naturally and is filtered — no chemical treatment at any stage. Then it's bottled in glass and sent for independent lab testing.
